Autel MP808 or XTOOL D8, which one is better? Let’s take a look at differences between them.
1.Coverage
MP808 has larger coverage and more frequent updates, supporting models like Toyota up to 2023 and 2024; D8 only covers models up to 2022 and some models are missing (e.g. for Mercedes 294, 295, 296, 297, 206, 223, 232 is not supported)
2.All-system Scan
MP808’s diagnostic function supports more systems and can be on a par with OEM diagnostic tools.
For Chrysler 2021, MP808 scans 15 more modules like AFLS, LBSS, RBSS, SGW, etc.; For Honda 8 modules like PADAS, EAS, SFD etc.
D8 doesn’t support part of modules, such as LIN of Mercedes, 10 modules of PSA 208, 1 modules of PSA 207 and ION.
3.Basic Diagnosis
D8 only supports active test of some models and for that live data is missing.
For example, there is no active test and part of live data is missing on new Fords and PSA.
4.Special Function
In this case, MP808 is stronger than D8. For Hyundai, MP808 covers most special functions, while D8 doesn’t do well in ENG, ABS, AB, etc.
5.Security Gateway
MP808 supports FCA (EU/US Area) and Renault Gateway (Global) while D8 doesn’t.
6.Auto Scan
MP808 scans systems faster than D8.
