Hi, I’ve got the GM MDI2 in the meanwhile. Did give it a test today with tech2win, but cant connect to several modules, airbag module for example. This module uses the UART protocol. Is the MDI2 clone realy able to handle the UART protocol? Any ideas I could try to establish communication with the airbag module?
Solution:
In tech2win there is a setting to supress the connection time-out. This way tech2win keeps listening to the MDI instead of giving the connection error. After several attempts I managed to get the data out of the airbag module. The protocol for this is GM UART.
The connection is not very stable and needs some attempts, but eventually the data can be read. My problem is therefore fixed!
