Autel adds Mercedes FBS4 ECM Cloning function to IM508/ IM508S/ IM608/ IM608 II Tablet.
Here we are going to show you how to clone an MED17.7.3 FBS4 from Mercedes 2013 GL350 using Autel IM608 Programmer.
FBS4 module:
Turn on IM608,
Go to
IMMO>>Mercedes-Benz>>Expert Selection>>Engine(ECU)
Here if it is an FBS3, we could read engine information and back up coding, renew an used engine, and write engine and coding data to it.
Then we select
ECM data cloning>>BOSCH MED17.7.3 TC1797
G-BOX3 Adapter is required.
Complete connection by diagrams.
Read internal BOOT data.
Read internal EEPROM data.
Read internal FLASH data.
Swap engine ECU.
Make sure engine ECU type is identical.
Write internal BOOT, EEPROM, FLASH data to new ECU.
Then install this engine ECU to another Mercedes, and car will start.
