Question:
Try to clone ECM SIM2K-240 using OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool but I can’t communicate. The ECM is from a Hyundai Sonata 2012.
Here are possible Solutions:
1)Some SIM2K-240 require a resistor, and also check the numbers on the processors. SIM2K-240 has a couple different options for both Hyundai and Kia
2)Add another wire from the Connection you do it you need to add 3rd wire to do it for the transistor (it would just be to connect that cord with the other two I have)
Other tips:
Sometimes all you have to do is it put it in get the PIN number from the original ECU and neutralize it and the car will run The Vin don’t even need to match.
Install it into the donor car go into the IMMO adaptation on pretty much any tool enter the PIN number under neutralization it’ll finish and you’re done
This can only be done if they have the same software stickers if they’re only the same hardware then you have to clone it
Key programming pin, you need to buy it by vin from the donor VIN, and it reads from the BCM when u read it
*For a TCM, better get a TCM and ECM from the same car and then just doing the reset on the ECU
Done! Hope this helps!
