This article is a comparison between Autel IM608 Pro2 and old IM608PRO from a customer.

Hardware
On the left is the second generation, it is using Android 10.0, totally different main software.
The difference is mainly all hardware differences, really no software coverage differences.
So the 608 pro2 has more hard drive space — 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of flash memory.
VCI Hardware
Now look at the VCI.
Both have port for USB, and the 608 pro2 is using its own version 2.
Flip them around.
In the old one, we have a DC 12 volt port for power and a regular OBD cable,
Then you got 12volt, VCI port, again using the version 2 cable, and doip port for Ethernet, new BMWs F-series and new Land Rovers, Volvo use it, mainly for diagnostics and programming.
Beside doip, the can fd for new GMs and new Fords is also built into this new j-box.
The old one you have to buy adapters.
Software
Quickly go through software, a little bit difference.
Manual selection, more of list view on pro2.
Select a specific Lexus, more of icon view.
Go to
Control Unit>>Immobilizer
Same functions .
On android homepage, only one difference — pro has hexeditor to review bin files while pro2 doesn’t.
Not essential but hope it will be updated.
