So, here we will show you how to unlock SFD in Newer VW and Audi Diagnosis.
1.What is SFD Lock?
In 2020, the Volkswagen Group (VAG) manufacturers introduced a procedure preventing unauthorized control module modifications – SFD (Vehicle Diagnostic Protection).
2.How to Unlock SFD?
Vehicle: 2024 Audi Q7
Tool: Autel IM608 II
Steps:
Connect IM608 II to vehicle.
Auto detect vehicle, and this one requires DOIP protocol.
SFD issue.
Select
Deactivation>>Manually unlock SFD
Switch to the web browser.
Go to “vaglogins.com”.
Login or sign up.
Select “Tokens” to buy credits, and lowest amount is about 25 with each 1 euros.
Then select “Memberships” to buy a type by tokens,
After we get a membership, select “SFD generator”.
Enter VIN to activate.
Copy “Unlocking request information” and paste it in “Login request” on the website.
At last, enter diagnostic address and select “Request SFD” to calculate SFD code.
Scroll down and select “Copy To Clipboard” to copy SFD calculation code.
Back to Autel menu, select “Input token”.
Paste the code here.
Select “Unlock SFD”.
Select “Exit” to switch to Main menu.
Then we have 90 minutes to diagnose the vehicle.
