This tutorial demonstrates how to add a KDMLB key to a 2024 Porsche Cayenne using KEYDIY’s KDMP and KD-X4 key programmer.

Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Data Collection from Original Key
Remove the original car key’s PCB and open KD Tools software to locate the corresponding board wiring diagram. Following the diagram, remove the specified capacitor and solder VCC/GND wires to the board. Connect the decryption wire according to the wiring diagram.
Place the decryption wire on the KDMP device and position the PCB on the MP recognition frame. Launch the matching function in KD software, identify the KDMP device number, and click “Identify Key.” The system will collect the original factory key data and generate a verification code upon successful collection.
Step 2: Generate Dealer Key
Insert the KDMLB key into the KDMP device to generate a dealer key. Enter the verification code collected from the original key. Once the dealer key generation is successful, proceed to the vehicle programming phase.
Step 3: Vehicle Programming
Enter the vehicle and unlock the SFD (Security and Function Disable) for both the gateway and instrument panel. Open the KD app and select the matching function, then choose “IMMO Programming.”
Select the corresponding Porsche model and choose “MLB Immobilizer System.” Start the execution process and follow the on-screen prompts. Before beginning key matching, turn off the air conditioner and open the engine hood.
Enter the verification code generated during data collection. The system will prompt you to place keys on the induction coil located in the cup holder area. First, learn the original car key, then the KDMLB key, swapping their positions when prompted.
Step 4: Testing
After successful programming completion, test both keys by locking and unlocking the vehicle to ensure proper functionality.
The entire process typically takes 30-45 minutes and results in a fully functional additional key for the Porsche Cayenne.
